You may be looking for something that doesn't exist. There really is
no "data on blood type evolution" strictly speaking.
There is certainly data on the distribution of blood types among modern
human ethnic groups and among our primate sibling species. There is
also data on the serological, genetic, and molecular basis of blood
types. There may be some anecdotal evidence on the blood types of a
few well-preserved human remains up to 50,000 years old or so. And
there is, as you know, data regarding disease susceptibility.
Beyond that, there is only more or less well informed speculation as
to what all this data implies for blood type evolution. Personally,
I think that your kids are best served if it is made clear that we don't
know everything about this subject yet. The future scientists among them
may be excited that there are still some things left to be discovered.
