I get seasick.  On a sub, sitting at one end of the messdecks (the only
space open enough for this to work) I could "see" the ship
rolling.

(Quite a few submariners get seasick-- you aren't surfaced long enough to
get used to it, and subs are not exactly designed for surface stability).
