This must be one of those well guarded PM> telecom secrets because nobody can tell me the color code for PM> reconnecting a new plug to the cord. I've scanned Inet Uk Telecom, Us PM> stuff etc but our standard telecom plug doesnt seem to be used PM> anywhere else in the world (not the modular one) Has anyone got this PM> information? The line connections on the socket should be on pins 2 and 6 assuming it is the old style 6 pin connector and not the very small modular connector that is common nowdays. The cord is a different problem. If it using the standard colour code you should have 3 pairs blue/white, red/black and green/orange. Normally blue/white would be used, but it could be anything. Not too hard to sort out. Enable the speaker in the modem and put it online with "ath1". Hold one wire on pin 2 of the phone socket then place the other five wires in turn on pin 6. When you hear dial tone you are in business. Have fun and be careful. 50volts can tingle if you have sweaty hands. Tony ... This tagline is SHAREWARE!
