Sounds like really looking for a needle in a haystack... Have you attempted
to find out any information in old city directories in 1955 in the area of
where bfather lived with his mother? I am sure that having had a son, she
would not of taken back her maiden name.. Mothers usually like to have
the same last name as children... It could be that you could try to pick
up a Lee (woman) listed in the directory... I am sure there is probably
oing
to be several... but maybe your sister could do this.. if she is near a
library that stacks old city directories... It would mean picking up as
many female names of Lee and then hoping to maybe find a trace that way...
A divorce.... a second marriage.... a ssdi entry for her and then find
an obit..... You can even write to the state libraries in most states
and ask them to copy the pages with Lee's on them for a given number of
years... and do some guess work there... I have done that before for
out of State... and because of it found the names of birthparents for a
WILSON.... and that is a common name as well.... Maybe check the school
in that area... and looking up yearbook pages for Richard Lee's....
Perhaps you have tried this... but in case you haven't..
If you have your info. in a file..... express one this way.. :)
