I like Clapton, although I've never been in an area where he's played. But, 
the Allmans did play my college homecoming the first year I attended and (- 
you're gonna virtually smack me on this one, Jeff-) I didn't even go to the 
free concert they put on. (y-ouch! that smack hurt! )  I wasn't in to 
their music then but I did go to the concert of the group I did like (because 
of the harmony work - [I feel another smack coming! ], the Carpenters.  (I 
was just young and niave at the time! )
