Nope. I have a male here who is visual grey, split to cinnamon and
pearl, and HE has that white border on his mask. I know he isn't split
to whiteface--he's old, and he came from a low-budget aviary whose owner
never even SAW a whiteface until well after I bought him.

None that I know of. The only split mutation I know of that shows
visually is pied--the babies have yellow feathers on their napes, and
sometimes a few on their tummies.

It's probably a dietary thing that will go away when he has his juvenile
molt. I had babies once that showed GREEN on their backs. When they
molted, the green tinge disappeared. Turned out that I got some formula
that had too much vitamin supplement in it (I was using someone's
home-made powdered mix at that time, long ago). I fear that I may have
damaged the babies' internal organs with that stuff, but I can't find
