It appears that your point is that young writers can spell correctly 
when they want to spell correctly.  Is that an indication that you 
believe that we ought not expect correct spelling from them when they 
don't want to spell correctly?  Or is it your point that since they can 
spell correctly, we should demand it of them all the time?
