It ain't the AQ or Baathists & hasn't been since oh late March
2K3...it's the shia & specifically the Badr & Sadr boys.

AQ & the baathists are never going to take power & weren't once the
Baath party lost power 3-4 years ago.

Summat about training people to carry out sophisticated attacks? The recent
"pretend to be mercs & then capture & take away US troops,
kill them & then escape" escapade was pretty impressive. Do you
think that was AQ?

Place your bets it's Sadr or Badr & the US is placing it's bets on hakim
& Badr.

However the main question will be 3 parts (shia, Sunni & Kurd) or 2
((Shia) Arab & Kurd with the Sunni Arabs taking a real nasty beating).

AQ would actually prefer the latter coz a beaten mass of pissed off sunni
is exactly what their PR etc need.

However be aware that the longer you engage in an insurrection the better
the insurrectionists become. I think it's called "on the job
training".

& just think how many tons of nice stable mil grade explosive is still
buried all over Iraq both on purpose (inc looting of Iraqi army stores for
months after 2K3) through to the massive mine fields which Saddam laid to
keep out the Iraqis & indeed the US etc.

Squidge it around a nice cone of copper & you're good to go. Hell have
you seen the pickies of M1'es total'ed? Big effing bomb to do that.


You want rid of the batthist & AQ? Let the Badr boys rip. Course it
will be ugly with lots of headless little kiddies floating down the tigris
