If you draw a dotted line around Iraq, yes. But they may well convince
themselves that if they keep up the fight, something will turn up to bring
more support from Sunni neighbors, or even pull said neighbors (who don't
want their own Shi'a feeling vicariously chuffed) into it. That was how
S.H. tried to brand his attack on Iran: "I'm not doing this for
Khuzestan, I'm the champion of all true Islam against the heretic scum in
Tehran..." Think Paisley.
