Greg,
Spiders really arent such a bad thing. They kept all the other insects =
out of your scope.
As far as cleaning, you can easily remove the corrector plate with I =
beleive 8 small allen screws. However, MARK both the tube and the =
corrector lens to maintain orientation for reassembly. You proabaly wont =
have to dissasemble too much of the scope ot get it cleaned up. The key =
is to make sure everything you do is reversable.

I have just inherited a Celestron C8. It has sat for a few years and =
has the remnants of spiders inside it. I was wondering if there was any =
information available on rebuilding a C8. I would like to completely =
disassemble it and clean it or is it best to ship it off to get it =
rebuilt?
