*** Quoting John Evans from a message to Miss Kitty ***
JE> But back to cats: I'm a bit worried about my owner. In the past, Sir H
JE> has occasionally played with, and drunk, water from a tap (I think "ta
JE> is "faucet" in Z1?). That's quite normal, but recently he's started to
JE> behave as if his life depends on drinking from the tap in the bathtub.
JE> Day and night, whenever he senses that someone is heading for the bath
JE> he races at top speed from wherever he happened to be to get there fir
JE> After jumping into the tub he demands that the tap be opened and then
JE> drinks, and drinks, and drinks and drinks...
JE> It's as if he hasn't had a drop of water for weeks. Once he drank so m
JE> that he made himself sick. Strangely enough, his water bowl in the kit
JE> remains almost untouched.
JE> Apart from this wierd behaviour, he seems perfectly healthy and fit, b
JE> somebody here recently listed excessive thirst as a symptom of diabete
JE> and that's what has started me worrying.
It could be, but it could be something else. I'd take the cat to the vet and
have the annual shots done, and have them check on this at the same time.
Oh, I have one who likes the tap water too, but to drink enough to get sick,
is not normal.
