It takes a lot of energy to make the goods cold, and less to keep them
cold. Most coolstores are pretty well insulated, for two consequent
reasons:

1: When building, more insulation is cheaper than a bigger refrigeration plant.

2: When running, a smaller refrigeration plant is cheaper to run and maintain.
