Well it was a U.S. funded Iranian site that first reported it.

Seriously though I would suspect that organizations such as Mossad don't
mind that sort of publicity even if they weren't involved.

I see the third update of  'Gideon's Spies: The Secret History of the
Mossad'  is due out this week - I wonder if Mossad gets a cut of the
royalties?
