I seem to recall the same thing happening here. Make sure you have
write permission for the location it's writting to. ATM, my setup
writes it to:
/opt/mbse/share/int/txtfiles/en/welcome1.ans and asc...
and that seems to work here.

Probably write permissions too (maybe). My setup writes the log to:
/opt/mbse/log/nextuser.log...
and it works here. I better go check if it still works!
