I also have been unable to get the flash upload to be accepted.  It goes to 
about 12-17 percent, then aborts with a "Cancelled by
Receiver" message (Qmodem DOS).  I've changed speeds, used every
flavor of Xmodem (some don't work at all), booted to a totally clean system, 
nothing works.  This is trying to put a -18 beta into a -12 modem.
