It's amazing what each utility programme has hidden in it,  these 
days ...  programmers often add in advanced facilities and then 
forget to mention that they're there,  it seems.

You'd expect that in open source programmes,  but not in `simple' 
utilities like my favourite text editor,  VDE.   It works in plain 
text like Notepad ... but will strip the meat out of a Word 
document without blinking and leave the edited text ready for use 
in Word again....   marvellous hidden talent!
