Hello Mike,

 >> A growing fad in China is for parents to come to the US so that
 >> their child will be born an American citizen. Then they return to
 >> China, baby in tow. They can afford to pay for medical services,
 >> so it is not like anybody is sponging off of taxpayers.

MP> Is the benefit here better medical care in the US?

Better medical care for who?

The US has the best health care in the world. The US also has
the most expensive health care in the world. Which makes the cost
of health care inaccessible for many.

If something is too expensive, it is not accessible. If something
is not accessible, what benefit is it to those who need it?

Access to quality health care is the first of all human rights.
Without such access, an individual would have no right to life.

If an individual needed a certain prescription to stay alive, and
it was too expensive for that individual to buy (either with or
without insurance), then that individual would have every right to
steal it.

Look at it this way -

The world owes me a living, not the other way around.
Who benefits if everyone gave to the world whatever the
world demanded?

The economy is for the person, not the other way around.
That is the only way true progress can be made.
