It's a Cirrus Logic 14.4 voice/fax. Configuration is factory defaults (I got
it used without any docs), and my init string is simply ATZ. I noticed the
same problem though with a Rockwell chipset modem on an Aztec sound card in
the same machine. I usually run Telix under Windoz95 but have noticed the
same problem under dos. The only thing that I can think of is that DOS 7.0
(win95 dos) is flawed (considering Windoz stability this is a very good
probability).
