Sounds like a product which will provide some interesting potential. And,
it would seem to solve any and all problems with interfacing your computer
with your scanner to do weird and wonderfull things. I would be interested
in hearing your review on this product.
Speaking of the computer doing weird and wonderful things, Our local police
force is upgrading their radio system (major bummer!) to a digital trunked
system. Good bye interesting scanning. They state its for keeping the
criminals with scanners from getting one step ahead. Quite understandabe
however.
Inside info tells me its also to keep the spouses of the Auxillary force
(volunteers if you will) from tagging along, which we seem to have a problem
with. So, to the question, given enough basic information, how difficult is
it to create a decription program to decipher digital trunked signals?
No doubt all the local radio/tv/newspapers stations will be looking into
some form of monitoring as well.
Take Care.
