Among the flicks I can go to sleep by now has a new addition...
THE PHANTOM. I've seen it on HBO about 10 times now, and like it
better each time. Considering I didn't like it at all the first
time, I cannot explain my fascination for this movie.
So, what's this got to do with sleeping? I can just lay there
listening, and can envision each scene as the dialogue filters in
through my pillow. Kinda like an Indiana Jones flick or STAR WARS.
...Or one of the sci-fi classics.
Would you call THE PHANTOM a campy film? Maybe I should tape it
just so I can count the cliches.
Follow that cab!
You heard the lady!
No smoking in the skull cave!
Let me see you without your mask!
I can only reveal my identity to the woman I'm going to marry.
Jump!
Trust me!
Watch him, Devil--If he moves, eat him!
You go first!
We girls must stick together!
I have a plane to catch!
You have something that belongs to me!
Snakes... Why did it have to be snakes! (Oops! ...wrong movie.)
Regards,
Jack
If you sit by the river long enough,
the body of your enemy will float by.
