With the june issue of the Hulk, Peter David,after 12 years ,is quiting
writing the title.Frankly, I understand his reasons for doing so.You
could tell with the issue (464) that came out this month,that something
was missing. I could see that he was getting jaded. This is going to
afevt sales on the title, count on it, but I think that marvel would
much rather have the title run down, for another "first" issue, then
have it hit #500.I give it to issue 475 before they do that.I rather
liked the more intelligent hulk that PAD developed, & see him reverting
again to the grunting mindless creature of old.In any case, considering
no new writer will be granted any real measure of artistic freedom on
the title,The books most likly headed into a tailspin.
