Definitely needs a cable replacement. Although sometimes referred to as a
stretched cable, what is actually occurring is a loosening of the crimp at
the brass fitting at the drive end of the cable. OMC's newest replacement
cable is twice as thick as the original and now made of stainless steel. DO
NOT USE A JOBBER CABLE in this application. Call me for further info if you
like at 1-613-359-5466 (eastern standard time).
