WAYNE YOUNG was thinking about lucy and keyed into cyberspace:

WY>Don't tell me you're falling for that line, are you?
WY>If the Rabbis are/were against him, you know he's an outcast.
No, Wayne, you failed at reading comprehension. I never said that I was
an outcast. My mistake was assuming that you were somewhat informed
about Judaism, as you had made a comment about Jews. I was wrong in my
assumption.
You had stated your opinion that Judaism was monolithic. What I pointed
out was that there is a schism in Judaism where the ultra-Orthodox have
stated a position that unless Judaism is practiced according to their
beliefs, then the person is not a Jew. The branch of Judaism I belong to
(i.e., my brand of Judaism) which is Reform, is one of the branches that
the ultra-Orthodox have targeted.
That is what happened. If you have anything to post to the contrary,
please do so. If not....
WY>He also claimed to be an ex-KGB by inference, did you buy that
WY>too? And what do you know about Marxism, let alone the other two?
No, I did not claim to be ex-KGB either directly or by inference. I had
worked for the US State Department on several occasions, and had been
assigned to Moscow. As part of each assignment, I was briefed by the
State Department as to the political and diplomatic climate and what to
expect when I lived there.
I referred you to a book, written by a ex-KGB LtC. for further
information on the topic we were discussing (the "opiate of the people"
according to Marx).
You chose to twist and blatantly mischaracterize what I said. That is
clearly intellectually dishonest. And you criticize me for not using my
licensed version of CMPQwk. Can you say hypocrite? Try it.
