second question I'd have to think about, but as to the
first, no there is no level of hell I can think of which
could top it.  After all, as was said on a popular fantasy
prime time tv show "we have the technology."  IN fact, the
Chinese are helping us beta test some of the most intrusive
implementations right now.
Iirc we bounced some of it around in this echo in a thread
about data the Census collects, and in another echo I
subverted a thread and entitled it "the elephant in the
room."
