Well, we were under the impression that the Bowtie 350 worked so well
in the performance version that they punched it out to 400. Which...
has it's own problems :>

Awww, phoey :> You listed all those motors and forgot the dreaded 409
because it predates him? ;>
He might still find one if he hunts down older Chevies for a block.
I think alot of Chevelles got one from rodders who had them left over
from the early 60's and blew up the 327's they came with.

hehe, keep backing ;> you were listing all the blocks as I recall,
and left those ones out (which he might choose if he gets a bit of cash
together)

Well, the problem there is that everyone thinks along chevy lines now.
And that starts fights when a chevy person intrudes on a conversation
with Ford folks ;>

My point (even though I have never worked on a Buick)

Very true. Some of the detuned BB's displace less than a chevy
smallblock.

I am still reaching for one unfortunatly.

Well pontiac blows this to sh*t. All their blocks have total
interchangeability. The heads even swap from 326 to 455.
But I still say Big Block, with the 326 being an extremely poor use of
the Big block. I was wondering about bearing sizes and actual dimensions
of stroke and bore. I mean, if it has capability of 4 inches of stroke
and over 4 inches of bore it's big block? Would that work?
Certainly seems to eliminate the chevy smallblocks while leaving
the big blocks alone. It's hard to say really. That's why I say the
factory should define them.
... Is the idea of Siamese twins born in '69 rude?
