 With 16bit 44.1kHz samples who's going to tell the difference?
 Have a look in your local music store.  There's an Akai sampler
 retailing for about œ2,000 and boasting a "massive" 6Mb of memory.
 It's quite clear to me that an Awe32 with an extra 8Mb RAM represents
 a huge saving and, with well recorded samples, is practically
 indistinguishable from the "real thing".
