I don't think there are small lightweight packages to filter spam.

But the real trick is to get the messages without mbse getting them, they
need to be put in newsbatch files or so. Then filter the batch and build a
new batchfile without the spam. Then feed that newsbatch to mbse.

The other trick is a extra server where you store filtered messsages for
mbnews to get.

Both ways are a lot of troubles I think.


The final trick, hack mbnews so that it you feed each fetched message
through some filter.
