Vince, a rescan of file areas might also be CPU-intensive as well. Keep in mind that not all BBSes are Internet-connected as well. Also, other authors that write TIC processors would most likely have to follow suit as well. IMO, I think that doing a file area rescan function would be more trouble than it's worth.
