It can go 115.2kbps out of the box, and there is a daughter card that
is/has been sold that doubles that.  I've not seen any software that

True, the GS has Zilog SCC parts, not 6551s.  Who was first to use the
SCC, the GS or the Mac, may be the same answer as for the Apple
Desktop Bus...
