I've been around this stuff for roughly as long as you have, but have become
somewhat more active in the past few years.  I've seen various attempts at GUI
BBS-alike things and I've seen where they have failed and where they have
succeeded.  I'm not looking at what Stephen said and thinking "Gee, what a
great idea!"  I'm just hoping that his idea, ill fated though it may be, is not
blown up to be something evil and other than what it is.  

Not some green and overly enthusiastic newcomer over here, so please don't take
the fact that I'm not 100% agreeing with you as my being 100% on the other side
of the issue.  It's not as though I have an issue with your not liking or
supporting Stephen's project, but rather that you seemed to take away from
Stephen's message that Synchronet is going to transition into a fully
proprietary client/server type system.  Again, from what I've read and from
what I've been told, that's not the case.

I haven't been reading this echo for very long and I don't know how many times
I've posted here, so his incredulity at my failure-to-understand or whatever it
was seemed unwarranted, is all.
