High Speed Flight Demonstration Starts

The National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA) and National 
Aerospace Laboratory of Japan (NAL) have been conducting joint 
research and development on space transportation systems that enable 
any of us to go to space safely with ease.

On Oct. 18, the flight demonstration by an unmanned experimental 
vehicle started in Christmas Island of the Republic of Kiribati in the 
South Pacific Ocean to verify the technology of returning from the 
space. 

The imagery of the first flight demonstration is released.
