Hello there Russell ....

RB> Your logs HAVE TO BE WRONG DAVID as we connected at 33600 for

RB> the said call. This log must have been when we used his 28800

RB> sportster to get the same file.

RB> I am not satisfied your logs here... I'm comming around to

RB> your place with a big hammer. And Bill can expect a visit from me

RB> this week, as I want to come back and repeat these tests under the

RB> same conditions. I will bring Randall Lane as a witness. We are not

Why me?? 'Cos I find it hard to believe too?? As I've said to you, I've

had over 4000cps here but not average for the full file. I'm always a

bit skeptical when anyone achieves over 117% in the throughput of a

large "highly" compressed file with z modem. Doesn't mean that you

couldn't get 119%+ tho', just that I've never seen it. That would mean

that with a v32bis 14400 connect with the same file you would be getting

~1715cps. I've also never seen this with z modem. Call me skeptical,

call me doubtful, and therefore you could call me an excellent unbiased

witness to the world. I'll even bring Guinness (the book, not the beer.)
