Well, GMRS is on 450 MHz, the wavelength of which is .67 meters or barely
over a couple of feet. The 10-15 ft distance means you're rather safe.

Wavelength with respect to the antenna under analysis. The GMRS antenna at
450 MHz is not likely to be affected by the discone. However, since the
discone can receive down to 25 MHz, the wavelength of which is 12 meters or
about 40-ft, then the GMRS antenna can affect the discone at the lower end of
its bandwidth. The vertical separation coupled with the extreme frequency
separation makes any effects very unlikely to be noticed.
