| subject: | LapLink problem solved |
Greetings folks,
Thanks to all who have responded with ideas as to how to get
LapLink 2.01 to work under Warp 3.0. Unfortunately _none_ of the
courses of action bore fruit! So this week I secured a copy of LapLink
5 and installed in DOS 6.22. Then in Warp I made a program object for
LapLink on the desktop.
Next, I installed only LL5.EXE onto a RAM storage card for my NEC
UltraLite and configured that. Recall that this notebook is
functionally equivalent to today's palmtops and runs on 640k RAM and
has DOS 3.3 and LapLink 2.01 burned into ROM.
Well, LapLink 5 worked perfectly using a serial connection under
Warp 3.0 using the _default_ DOS session settings. I now no longer have
to resort to quitting OS/2 and booting DOS to transfer files between my
UltraLite and my 486 mini-tower!
Best Regards,
Greg
