What Roger has presented is quite adequate to produce an excellent
performer designwise--especially regarding achromats. I know; I did just
that with no more lens design knowledge than is given here and OSLOlt.  One
does not need to be a refractor expert to come up with a worthwhile design,
especially longer focal ratios. He has already done an enormous amount  of
work with this and his lens fabrication site. If he has some finer points
to make--great, but  give the man a break...(and an applause while you're
at it). If one was going for a career in designing lenses, sure, they'd
need more. But they wouldn't be perusing the web in search of tutorials 
for that matter.

That's all well and good, but keep in mind that more images mean bigger
file sizes and longer download times. I think it's just fine as it is.
Lean, high octane sites are a rarety on the web and I for one am pleased to
see one more that is.
