subject: Zmodem upload trouble

JF> The weirdest thing is, downloading works perfectly, and I get an
 JF> average CPS rate of 1650-1700 bps (it's a 14400 modem).

Check if your hardware handshaking is set up correctly.
Use the correct cable, just pins 2, 3 & 7 on the modem are not enough.
On your comms program, disable XON-XOFF, enable RTS-CTS,

and if you are still having problems, you may have disabled RTS-CTS
handshaking on your modem. Check the manual to enable it again, or take the
quick way out and use AT&F&W which sets factory defaults.

If you're *still* having problems, the serial port on your PC might be faulty,
assuming the modem is OK.
