As of V4.0, Win NT doesn't support HPFS, but doesn't make any attempt to
hide them from view either. HPFS partitions are still assigned drive
letters and return an error when accessed. And you can't convert them to
NTFS without having access to the 3.51 (or earlier) version of CONVERT.
What a mess.
