Tim Esaias - All - margin numbers - 27 Jan 97 10:29:00
TE> Here's one to chew on. Some colleagues are translating a German work,
TE> a famous philosophical text with a standard critical edition in
TE> German. They need to have the page numbers of the German text in the
TE> margin next to the line where the translation hits the new page. Is
TE> there a way to do this so that the margin numbers will stay in place
TE> despite revisions in the text which might cause the text to expand and
TE> contract? Right now they've got two columns and are having to eyeball
TE> the page number position every time they revise.
I suppose you could make it a table without gridlines. I think they will
stay]
next to each other that way because they are in boxes.
Hope this works,
Leonie
... And on the 8th day God said, "OK Murphy, you take over."
