 BTW, the majority of blacks in this country are *NOT* in
 poverty. About 20% of blacks in this country are in poverty.
 Which is still a much higher percentage than whites.

 Just checked the latest edition of the Stat Ab. It's about 24%.

 Also learned something interesting. The West has the lowest rate
 of poverty for Blacks, and the highest rate of poverty for
 whites. Hmmm...

 When Cosby made his remarks I pointed out that it was a black
 man, addressing black problems, to a black audience. I also
 expressed my doubts, or call it objections, to black people who
 make their fame and fortune, by reciting black failures to white
 audiences. I also expressed my utter contempt for white people
 who make their fame and fortune by reciting the failures of
 black people to white audiences.

 Funny, I am the one pointing out that Nagin *DID* comment on the
 need for black people to help themselves, and that the *RIGHT
 WING* media did not include that in their denunciations.

 I do not recall Hell-m including that in anything he posted.

 Hell-m seems to have no problem with white people who recite the
 failures of black people while ignoring the failures of white
 people in the same areas.

 As a Christian I am obligated to attend to Jesus' injunction to
 see to the beam in your own eye before attending to the mote in
 your brother's eye.

 Hell-m may not fell constrained by any such Christian teaching.
