Hi Diane!
-=> Quoting Diane Brown to Wendy Buchanan <=-
DB> My days seem to fly bye when I'm crafting. I'm now beggining to enjoy
 DB> receiving mail.
I'm having such fun! Tom and I got to go to Tulsa yesterday and
went to this craft booth mall called "The Quilted Bear." Gee, it
was such fun but we both got very tired before we saw half of what
they had in there. I wanna go back today!

DB> I'll let you know, but first I must finish my daughters pillow
DB> covers which I have to do since early last fall.
I have one here but I had to buy craft batting to make the inside
for it because they don't make many rectangular pillow forms. I
don't know if I am into this today so maybe next week. Tom has
today off (it's Good Friday) and we will probably take the loaner
vehicle the dealership loaned us and go do something soon.
DB> Also, my son and his fiancee have asked me to do all the
DB> flower arranging for their wedding. Yesterday we went to
DB> Michaels and picked up all the necessary items. I told them
 DB> I'd start after easter.

That sounds so neat, it's great when they want you to do something
for this most important occasion in their lives. It will make
their day so much more special knowing you did those flowers.
My husband bought some neat stuff called "Acrylic Water" that you
can use to keep silk flowers in place in a vase. You mix these
2 components together like you do epoxy glue, and pour them into
the vase, and it hardens to a hard gel and keeps the flowers from
moving after you've got them in place. I haven't opened it to
use any yet but I plan to do a couple of arrangements of handmade
artificial flowers, one of crepe paper poppies for my sister's
40th birthday which is in July. She's very special and I know
she'll like that!
DB> Glad I'm not the only one who gets messy (HG). Rubber stamping
We aren't messy, just creative like the tagline says!
DB> sounds so interesting but I guess I've got enough on my plate
DB> for now and it sure feels good to be needed.
Rubber stamping is fun but it can get expensive since it's addictive
and buying stamps is part of the addiction. Once you get a few,
you always want a lot more, and that gets expensive. I can
lay out the bucks for stamps, but I'd rather not get so many that
I forget what I have. I do need a few more that aren't bear-oriented,
as most of mine have bears on them, and I'd love some more with
messages on them. I have "Happy Birthday" but I'd like a nice one
that reads "Thinking of You," one for anniversaries and one that
just says "Congratulations" which could be used for various things
such as graduation, new baby, promotions, etc. I could also get
into a nice "Handstamped By..." stamp. I saw one yesterday but it
was very small and they wanted almost 7 dollars for it! Gosh!!!
In the catalog those are only about 3 to 4 dollars. I could get
2 for that price! See what I mean, though? It all adds up.
Have fun with the floral arrangements and let me know how you are
doing. Have a great day!
LadyBear Hugs,
Wendy
