I thought the unions > provided DEMS with over 1 million volunteers just by themselves I just read a piece (somewhere...) saying that the Dems had made a mistake in allowing the 527s to bear so much of the load: they are not allowed to share their lists, and so the Dems do not have access to the millions of contacts the orgs do, whereas the Repubs maintained the contacts themselves.
