Welcome.
I am a Scouter from Portage la Prairie Manitioba Canada. If you look on a 
map of North America we are in the middle of it all, just north of the US 
Canada border and south of the smaller of the two lakes in the centre of 
the country. 
Yes we have to look for the Great Bear (also called the Big Dipper) to 
find directions at night. 
This echo is mostly for the youth. Another echo called Scouter tends to 
address the needs and concerns of adults in scouting more than this one. 
If your local BBS caries that on you may also want to take a look.
I'm a Scouter with the Scout section of Scouts Canada. (We have Beavers 
age 5-7, Cubs 8-10 Scouts 11-14 Venturers 15-17 and Rovers 18-26). I have 
taken WB for both Scouts and Cubs and just a couple of weeks ago took the 
Trainer 1 course. That will qualify me to teach at WB courses. Our WB1 is 
a 10 hour course that is the leaders introduction to being a Scouter. The 
WB2 course is 50 hours long spread over three weekends, the last being a 
camp weekend where we camp as patrols and practice Scouting. 
I would like to know more about Scouting in South America.

and to show them about Scouting in other areas. If you send me your snail
