Hello all,
	I'm currently working with a group of fellow students on the
preliminary design of a solar powered 1kW power supply, and was wondering
if anyone could offer opinions/experience on this type of product.  I
basically want to know what kinds of power supplies are currently available
(I guess most are fuel powered) and what their qualities are (good/bad 
points?)
I would also know what a customer demands of a 1kW power supply (reliability,
what kind of power demands are put on the thing in the course of a day, etc.)
We're designing this thing to be a really remote power supply, for use in
locations where power lines are not available.  At this point, I'm really new
to this and know very little about this type of product.  Your responses

be very much appreciated.
