It's the little things that you run across that make the research so
much fun.  :)  And the finding connections with the past, that make the
present even more understandable...  I enjoy regaling the family with
the tidbits I come across.  :)

We genealogists generally recognize that most of the family aren't
nearly so interested and fascinated by the flotsam and jetsam of the
family history as we are... but it is a little sad that so many don't
care at all... and, heartening when our work is* appreciated.  :)
