Remember, the IBM ASCII character set was to be a mix of three worlds, the
forien(sp?), the math world, and the artists... You seem to be throwing 2 of
those worlds out just to support one of them (the exact same thing the ISO
standard ASCII character set does... only the oposite set...

Yes, if you used any codes below ASCII 32, you may have problems... however,
those codes from 128 to 255 should transfer correctly as long as you're set
t
8 bit data...
I don't think Macrobbs does any kind of translations other than its mci codes
or what ever they might call them .. (I haven't looked at the package much
recently)...
Also remember that both ends must be using your modified font (I presume your
modifying the ega/vga hardware font)...
