Sounds like "A Legendary Performer, Vol. 3" (That's the only one I know
of in the series that was released as a "picture disc", I made it a point
to also get the "black" version so my PD is unplayed.)
If it is, US pressings are currently selling here in the US for around
twenty bucks (with the book). (FWIW, it's a 1979 release).
Picture discs were common right up to the end of the LP era, and in fact
first
came out on 78's in the 1940's. The "Heyday" of the picture disc though was
the 70's and early 80's, and are not all that rare. (For example, my Linda
Ronstadt "Living In The USA" is worth about eight bucks).
