YEp, aware of him.  OF course, commerce was desirable, with
anybody who had the price of admission.  A big difference
between selling arms and supplies and committing young men
to shed blood on foreign soil, which was rather repugnant to average
American folks back then.  A classic case of we
waited, sold to all comers and just watched what happened
until we were dragged into it.
