Here is description of 2 problems I've encountered with the new 1.440-18
- It seems that sometimes, the connection goes weird. All I receive is OK
but I only send garbage. The modem then suddenly drop to 300 (transmit
speed as far as I can remember), and finally hang up. (this one seems to
happen only with french Olitec modems).
- During the negociation process, the modem doesn't seem to catch the
remote carrier. It keep on whistling until S7 is reached. It is a
monotonous sound with no modulation. It happened with two different brand
of modem : USR courrier and OLITEC (French 'so-called' modem)
As far as I can see, there are some other people reporting problem #1 & #2.
Is there a workaround or some registers to set in order to solve the
problems ?
