This is the same (Canadian) airline that nearly lost a plan over the
mid-Atlantic ~4 years ago in large part due to shoddy maintenance
procedures, according to the official inquiry. So it's worth waiting to see
what the most recent inquiry says before piling on Airbus.

Much like one of the pilots quoted in the Guardian story, I too have taken
longer, circuitous and more expensive routes to avoid flying on Air
Transat, and was doing so *prior* to the events described in the CBC story.
