The parents have offered to take over all care for her, and relieve him of
any responsibility at all.  He's even been offered cash by third parties to
remove himself as her guardian, and let her parents care for her
themselves.

Why does he want to cremate here within hours of her death, and not allow
an autopsy?  Personally, I think there's something strange here.
